Day 1: East Jeju
Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) (2h)
A UNESCO-listed volcanic crater rising 182m from the ocean. The 25-minute hike to the rim reveals a massive crater with ocean views on all sides.
Tip: Arrive before 6am for the famous sunrise. The peak opens 1 hour before sunrise. Entry is ₩5,000.
Manjanggul Cave (1.5h)
One of the longest lava tubes in the world at 7.4km, with a 1km section open to visitors. The cave stays a cool 11–21°C year-round.
Tip: Bring a light jacket — it's chilly inside even in summer. The path is well-lit but can be slippery.
Seopjikoji (1.5h)
A dramatic coastal headland with red volcanic cliffs, a lighthouse, and canola flower fields in spring. Famous as a Korean drama filming location.
Tip: The cafe at the tip of the headland has panoramic ocean views. Canola flowers bloom in April.
Woljeongri Beach (1.5h)
A white-sand beach with emerald-green water lined with trendy cafes. Popular for windsurfing and kiteboarding.
Tip: The beachfront cafes are perfect for a late afternoon coffee with ocean views. Parking is free.
Day 2: West & Central Jeju
Hallasan Trail (Eorimok or Yeongsil) (3h)
Korea's highest mountain at 1,947m. The Eorimok trail (4.7km one-way) takes you through forest to scenic viewpoints without summit permit. Yeongsil trail (3.7km) offers volcanic landscape views.
Tip: Start by 8am. The Eorimok trail closes entry at 12pm in winter, 1:30pm in summer. Bring water and snacks.
O'sulloc Tea Museum (1.5h)
A free museum surrounded by green tea fields with tastings, a cafe serving matcha desserts, and a shop with Jeju tea products.
Tip: Try the green tea ice cream (₩5,000) and walk through the adjacent Innisfree botanical garden (free entry).
Hyeopjae Beach (2h)
Crystal-clear turquoise water with white sand and views of Biyangdo island offshore. Often called Korea's most beautiful beach.
Tip: The water is shallow and calm — great for wading. Sunset here is spectacular with Biyangdo silhouetted against the sky.
Day 3: South Jeju
Jungmun Resort Complex (2h)
A coastal resort area with Jusangjeolli Cliff (hexagonal basalt columns), Teddy Bear Museum, and multiple high-end hotels along the shore.
Tip: Jusangjeolli Cliff (₩2,000 entry) is the highlight — unique columnar basalt formations meeting the crashing waves.
Cheonjiyeon Waterfall (1.5h)
A 22-meter waterfall dropping into a crystal-clear pool, reached by a scenic 10-minute forest walk from the entrance. The name means 'Sky Connected with Earth.'
Tip: Visit after rain for the most impressive water volume. The walking path is paved and easy.
Seogwipo Olle Market (1.5h)
Jeju's best traditional market with fresh seafood, Hallabong tangerines, black pork BBQ, and Jeju-specific snacks like omegitteok (rice cake).
Tip: Try the heuk-dwaeji (Jeju black pork) skewers and fresh Hallabong juice. Most stalls are cash only.
Seogwipo Harbour & Saeseom Island (1.5h)
A charming port town with a walking bridge to Saeseom Island, offering coastal trails and views of Munseom and Beomseom islands offshore.
Tip: Walk across the bridge to Saeseom for a quiet 1km coastal loop trail. The harbor area has excellent seafood restaurants.
