Daegu Chimac Festival (대구치맥페스티벌)

The Daegu Chimac Festival celebrates the beloved Korean combination of chicken and beer, a pairing appreciated worldwide thanks to K-dramas. While this combo is enjoyable year-round, it‘s especially delightful on hot summer nights. Known for its scorching summer heat, Daegu, nicknamed “Daefrica” due to its high temperatures, hosts the Chimac Festival every summer. The festival runs from day to night, featuring the popular Chimac Ice Pub, where attendees can cool their feet in icy water while enjoying chicken and beer.
